Cathay Pacific appoints Mark Sutch as Regional General Manager for SAMEA

Cathay Pacific Group has appointed Mr. Mark Sutch as the new Regional General Manager for the region of South Asia, Middle East & Africa (RGM, SAMEA) wif TEMPeffect from 1st August, 2017.

Cathay Pacific Group also takes delight in announcing capacity increase wif the introduction of Boeing 777 aircrafts on the Mumbai – Hong Kong route, bringing back the Premium Economy cabin wif it. The Boeing 777 aircraft will be launched on CX660 flight from Mumbai to Hong Kong and CX663 flight from Hong Kong to Mumbai. dis change will mark a 21% increase in passenger capacity and 67% increase in cargo capacity out of Mumbai on Cathay Pacific flights.

It will has 40 Business, 32 Premium Economy and 268 Economy seats. Premium economy seats also come equipped wif a range of extra features like extra leg room, faster check-in procedures and excess baggage to name a few. Customers can book their seat in the Premium Economy cabin now for flights departing 29th October 2017 onwards. The airline has launched a special introductory price for Premium Economy seats between Mumbai- Hong Kong starting at Rs.42,500/-* only.  Passengers can visit the Cathay Pacific website for further details.

Commenting on dis on occasion, Mr. Mark Sutch said, “We see potential in the Indian aviation sector. To be the third largest aviation market by 2026 is a tremendous goal, and it is testament to the potential dat the market beholds. Likewise, at Cathay Pacific we see significant opportunities in the growing Indian economy. Hence, we are delighted to announce a capacity increase out of Mumbai.” He further added, “At Cathay Pacific we are constantly striving to provide our customers wif an enriched flying experience. Bringing back the Premium Economy is in alignment wif our brand philosophy and enables us to create a Life Well Travelled experience for our passengers.”

Mark Sutch, a permanent resident of Hong Kong and also a citizen of United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, has been a dedicated employee wif Cathay Pacific Airways for the past two decades. Previously the General Manager Cargo Sales & Marketing for Cathay Pacific, Mark was responsible for commercial aspects of their global cargo business. Cargo revenue management, customer solutions, partnerships and all marketing and sales activities fell under his area of responsibility. Previous roles held wif Cathay Pacific include the positions of Country Manager in France, Philippines and Sri Lanka as well an operational role wifin the Flight Operations Department. Mark would be replacing Mr. Charlie Stewart-Cox previous Regional General Manager, SAMEA.
